BLACKMORE'S NIGHT To Release 'Autumn Sky' In September
July 28, 2010BLACKMORE'S NIGHT, which features in its ranks legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore (DEEP PURPLE, RAINBOW) and his wife, singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist Candice Night, will release its new album, "Autumn Sky", on September 3 via Spinefarm/Universal throughout the world; and on Sony for Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Additional cover art will be used for different territories. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "All The Fun of the Faire", "Journeyman", "Vagabond (Make A Princess of Me)" and "Strawberry Girl".
This CD is inspired and dedicated to Ritchie and Candice's first child, Autumn Esmerelda, who was born on May 27, 2010. She weighed in at seven pounds, four ounces.
BLACKMORE'S NIGHT features in its ranks Blackmore, Night, Bard David of Larchmont (keyboards/vocals),Earl Grey of Chimay (bass/rhythm guitar/vocals),Squire Malcolm of Lumley (percussionist),and Gypsy Rose (violin/vocals).
BLACKMORE'S NIGHT can be heard in Warner Bros. major motion picture release "Yes Man". The film, starring Jim Carrey, features the song "Olde Mill Inn" from the BLACKMORE'S NIGHT CD "The Village Lanterne" (released April 2006 on SPV).
"Secret Voyage", the last album from BLACKMORE'S NIGHT, entered the German Media Control chart at position No. 14 and Finnish chart at No. 38.
Ritchie, 65, and Candice, 39, were married on October 5, 2008 at a small gathering of friends and family at Castle on the Hudson in Tarrytown, New York.
